Effective date: August 25, 2026
Account data: email address, display name, and authentication identifiers. Listing and order data: photos and videos you capture or upload through the app, item descriptions, conditions and grades, prices, quantities, shipping addresses, and transaction records (including cancellations, refunds, and shipping true-ups). Usage signals: views, likes, watches, searches, saved searches and target prices, and the sellers you follow — used to rank your feed, send you alerts you asked for (new matches, price drops, counter-offers), and detect fraud. Listing view and watcher counts are shown publicly (never who viewed or watched). Device and security signals: IP address, browser user-agent, and a device cookie, used to detect ban evasion (see below). Payments: handled by Stripe; we never store card numbers. Carrier data: when a seller buys a shipping label through us, the carrier (via Shippo) gives us tracking numbers and post-shipment weight/price adjustments so shipping charges can be trued up honestly. Notification channels: if you enable browser push alerts, we store that device's push subscription (an endpoint address and browser keys — no browsing data); if you provide one, your shipping phone number may be used for critical transactional texts only (auction payment deadlines) — never marketing. Analytics and bot defense: we use privacy-respecting product analytics (page and event counts, no profiles sold to anyone) and Cloudflare's bot check on public forms, which processes a browser token for verification.
To operate the marketplace: running your account, listings, orders, and payouts; sending transactional notifications (order updates, offers, price drops) and, if you choose, marketing messages you can opt out of; personalizing your feed; calculating and remitting sales tax; resolving disputes; and preventing fraud and abuse. We do not sell your personal data.
We use AI and machine learning to operate and improve the marketplace, including automated verification, authenticity screening, and condition assessment. To do that, we may use the content and data you provide through the platform — including listing photos and videos, descriptions, stated conditions and grades, verification results, and other listing, order, and usage data — to develop, improve, train, and evaluate our machine-learning models and other systems, and to protect the marketplace and its users. This use is a core part of how the marketplace functions and does not give you or others any ownership or license to other members' content.
To keep banned actors off the platform, we record identity signals (email, phone, device cookie, IP, and, for sellers, the verified identity Stripe collects during payout onboarding) and match them against past ban records. Strong matches (e.g. the same verified legal identity) can result in automatic enforcement; weak signals (like a shared IP) never do.
We share data only with service providers needed to run the platform: Stripe (payments, payouts, tax calculation, identity verification for sellers), our email delivery provider, our AI verification provider (listing photos and videos, for verification checks), market-price data providers (product search terms only), and our hosting provider. Buyers and sellers can see each other's display names, listing content, and shipping addresses for their own orders. We may disclose data when required by law.
We keep your data as long as needed to operate, improve, secure, and support the marketplace — including the machine-learning uses described in section 3 — and for dispute, legal, and tax obligations. In practice this means listing photos, videos, and verification results are retained even after a listing sells or comes down, because they back buyer protection, dispute decisions, fraud detection, and model improvement. We keep transaction and dispute records as long as needed for legal and tax obligations. You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting us; some records (tax, disputes, and data we must retain for security, legal, or legitimate operational reasons, including our training corpus) must be retained or anonymized rather than deleted outright. Deleting your account retires your listings and removes your profile.
Your controls: you manage your block list and saved searches from account settings, and you can unblock or remove them at any time. Blocks are a safety feature — we retain them (yours and against you, without telling the other party) while accounts exist, so the protection cannot be undone by re-registering.
Wherever you live: you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us through the link below. We don't sell or share your personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don't sell the data itself — to anyone, ever.
US state privacy laws (California and the other states with comprehensive privacy statutes — Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and the rest as they take effect): to the extent they apply, you may have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, delete it, correct it, and not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Because we don't sell data or do targeted advertising, many of the opt-out rights those laws provide (like "Do Not Sell My Personal Information") don't apply here — there's nothing to opt out of.
European Union and UK buyers (GDPR / UK GDPR): we process your data on these legal bases — performing our contract with you (running your account, orders, payouts, and Buyer Shield), legitimate interests (keeping the marketplace safe and preventing fraud and abuse), your consent where required (push notifications and any marketing you opt into — withdraw anytime), and legal obligations (tax and accounting records). You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, and to data portability; you may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Our services are hosted in the United States; we transfer only what the marketplace needs to function and share it only with the providers listed in section 5.
Minors. The marketplace is for adults (18+). We don't knowingly collect data from minors; if we learn we have, we delete it.
